Pamela O'Connor and Jonathon ODouotitertv. Britain, 42.81. 15. Alexandra Kauc and Michael Zych, ter." But he's not easily distracted once he sets his goals. He had a fever last weekend but still played brilliantly in the Patriots' 41-27 against Pittsburgh in the AFC championship game.

But he said he never came close to missing the game and downplayed the illness. "There's a lot of guys who were sick and a lot of guys aren't feeling good and a lot of guys are probably playing with tougher ailments than I was," Brady said. "Guys have been doing that all year. "Everyone plays with great toughness and never complains. A little flu bug.

Like that's a big deal. You know (the attention it got) takes away from what those guys do." He wouldn't say how sick he was but said he was feeling better Thursday. Montana completed 63.2 of his passes and is seventh in NFL history in touchdown passes and eighth in yards passing in 13 full seasons. Elbow problems sidelined him for the entire 1991 season and limited him to one game in 1992. Brady has completed 61.6 of his passes in five seasons, including his rookie year when he played just one game, and is 8-0 in the playoffs.

Montana was 7-1 in his first eight postseason games before finishing at 16-7. "Tom is as competitive as Montana," said Patriots third -string quarterback Jim Miller, a 10 -year veteran. "I just think Tom's got a great feel for the game. He just has a great feel when to move in the pocket, when a certain guy's going to be open." roianu, 16. mates again. The rookies from Connecticut were selected for the Rookie Challenge on Feb. 18 as part of the NBA All-Star weekend in Denver. Okafor, the No. 2 overall selection in the draft, is averaging 15.4 points and 11.3 rebounds for the Charlotte Bobcats, while Gordon is averaging 13.1 points for the Chicago Bulls.

That team will face the league's top second-year players, with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade headlining that group. Golf 21. Daniela Keller and Fabian Keller, those jerseys," Brady said Thursday. "I had a little kid come up to my door with a No. 12 jersey on.

It's like, 'Oh, It's just come such a long way." From part-time starter at Michigan to sixth-round draft choice to two-time Super Bowl MVP, Brady has made huge strides in a hurry. He's just 27, but is in position to help the Patriots become only the second team to win three Super Bowls in four years. But he's still behind Montana's four Super Bowl wins and eight Pro Bowl selections. Brady, headed to his second Pro Bowl, admits he's uncomfortable with the comparisons. "I'm very flattered," Brady said.

When the Russian captured his fourth men's title at the European Figure Skating Championships on Thursday, he took the news calmly. 21 a a-oo program was solid but not spectacular. Skating to an updated version of "The Godfather" theme song, Plushenko executed a quad plus six triples, and ended with a total of 227.14 points. He made four minor errors, but his style made up for it, especially some dazzling footwork. Plushenko scaled down three jumps and had a scratchy landing on another.

Plushenko won the Europeans in 2000, 2001 and 2003 but was upset last year by Joubert. Ex-Tiger Nomo agrees to deal with Devil Rays ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. "Their pressure and depth really wore us down," Michigan Coach Tommy Amaker said. "I thought the difference was the start of the second half.

We got out very slowly, and they got a double-digit lead and really put us on our heels." Michigan State's Paul Davis, playing on a sprained ankle, had 12 points off the bench, while Alan Anderson scored 10 points. The Spartans held Michigan to 40.9 percent shooting, but made just 44 of their shots and had 17 turnovers. Not surprisingly, the Pacers' relied on O'Neal and Jackson to carry the scoring burden. Tinsley, still ailing, missed all six of his shots.

He finished with two points and four assists and was in foul trouble most of the night. The Pistons used runs of 13-2 and 6-0 to build a 39-25 lead they never relinquished. "We know what it takes to win games now," Ben Wallace said. "We've been to the promised land and we know what it takes to get back there." The Pacers rallied just before haiftime, scoring the last five points to close to 47-40. But Detroit opened the second half by scoring five straight points and pulled away with a 7-0 spurt that made it 66-51 with 2:18 left in the third quarter.

The Pacers got no closer than eight the rest of the way. "I like playing here, it's a good rivalry," Rasheed Wallace said. "Their fans are real rowdy and hard on the opposing team and I like coming in here and playing against these guys."
