The Rev. Dr. Gary W. Jamison, 67, of Worth was promoted to GLORY and into the CHURCH TRIUMPHANT on Monday, April 30, 2007. Gary Wayne was born to Lee and Margaret Jamison on August 9, 1939 in Port Huron attended the Port Huron schools, and graduated from Port Huron High School in 1958.

He loved football as a young man and played for the Port Huron High School Big Reds. On August 9, 1958, Gary married Lillian Mayer. He graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University, SD, Dubuque Theological Seminary- Ecumenical program, San Francisco Theological Seminary, The Salvation Army College for pastors in Chicago, and the Professional Pastors Counseling, Program at Iowa State Psychiatric Hospital. Gary served in his pastoral ministry for 40 years. He served in Iowa and South Dakota as a Salvation Army pastor.

For more information, a Presbyterian USA minister. Gary believed camping and scouting were an opportunity for everyone to serve God and improve relationships. He earned his Eagle Scout award, the Silver Eagle award, and was a member of the Black Arrow Scouting Order. He did scouting with his family and guided his three boys to earn their God and Country and Eagle Scout awards. Gary and his established a church camp, wildern charged a minimal amount, and ran it for five years.

This included two sections each year for handicapped adults. Foremost to Gary was his God and personal Lord, his family, his grandchildren, and his life of serve which he built on trust and integrity. Gary is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dr. Lillian E. Jamison; three sons, Robert (Jodi) Jamison of Croswell, Mark (Kelly) Jamison and Tracy (Terri) Jamison of TN; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Margaret, Brett, Nicole, Scotty, Aaron and Meagan Jamison, and Courtney and Amber Wilton; two brothers, David (Jackie) Jamison of Livonia and Roy (Nancy) Jamison of Fort Gratiot; three sisters-in-law, Betty Jean (Donald) McCormick, Ruth (Henry) Ploeger and 1 Mildred Clifton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy Jamison; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Charles Parker; a grandson, Gary Beaumont; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Jamison; and a brother-in-law, Michael Mayer.
