In 1 956, after spending two years in the military, Jerry returned to the Times Herald, and for the past 40 years has served as police reporter and columnist. Jerry also is the author of two books, "Brownie's People," and "40 Years: Brownie's People" which are based on his columns in the Times Herald. Now, after 40 years of headlines and deadlines, Jerry will be retiring.
