No. 121. of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad system, the first car equipped with air-conditioning units in a Grand Trunk sfccp, left Port Huron Tuesday afternoon on a trial run to i Battle Creek. It to be placed In regular service from Battle Creek to Chicago. The car was re -modeled and provided with air-conditioning equipment In the local car shops.

Double windows are sealed. Fresh air, drawn by fans, enters the car through a glass-wool filter. It Is cooled by pipes in which water previously sprayed over Ice, flows. To heat the car, the same pipes, heated by steam, are used. A compartment under car contains space for 3.000 pounds of Ice.
