Closed Sundays. Couple Honored On Silver Day Mr. and Mrs. Roland G. Krupp, 1318 Twenty-first Street, were honored on their silver wedding anniversary at a surprise open house for friends and relatives Sunday.

The party was given by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Peter George, of Ann Arbor; Miss Janet Krupp and Robert Krupp. Mr. and Mrs.

David Dunn, Worms, Germany, were unable to attend but sent best wishes to their parents. Mrs. Krupp was presented a silver soffee and tea service, a gift from her husband. She is the former Dorothy Neighorn. The couple was married July 15, 1944, in First United Presbyterian Church by Rev.

Nicholas Sichterman. Mr. Krupp celebrated his thirty-fourth year at Mueller Brass in April and Mrs. Krupp has been employed at the Michigan Employment Security Commission for the last three years. They both have spent most of their lives in Port Huron.

Librarian At Institute Harry P. Wu, director of the St. Clair County Library, is atthe Institute on Library Services non-institutionalized handicapped at the University of Michigan, July 13 18. He is one of the 35 participants representing libraries in the United States. The institute introduces librarians to methods of providing quality library services for non-institutionalized handicap ped children and adults, who are unable to use conventional library materials and services.

These include the blind, partially sighted, and those with other severe physical or mental impairments reside outside of large institutions, e. g. the homebound and residents of nursing homes. Special materials for the handicapped are to be available for inspection in the institute. Funerals George J.

Coast Guard Station Chief Retires August The hospitality that everyone has been afforded the last four years at the local U.S. Coast Guard Station has been the trademark of one man James L. Carroll, commander of the station. Chief Carroll, command of the local statume: August of 1965, is retiring Aug.

He subsequently was assigned to duty stations in Owensboro, Chattanooga, Louisville, Cape May, N.J.; Savanah, St.

Simons, Mayport, and prior to coming to Port Huron he was assigned as ship evaluator and instructor with the Navy at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. During his career with the Coast Guard, he has received many citations including ones from the Ninth District Commander; from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit; Seventh Coast Guard District; from the Secretary of Defense; one while stationed at St. Simmons Island, during the Cuban blockade and one from the Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Fred T.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. George Van Rhee, Port Huron, and Mrs. Ardon Sweet, Ypsilanti; and a brother, J.0. Buckeridge, Birmingham, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 2.

Brennan Mrs. Thelma M. Brennan, 59, of 1742 Scott Avenue, a lifelong resident of Port Huron, died Sunday in Port Huron Hospital after a illness. She was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Port Huron.

She attended Port Huron schools and was a member of Washington Avenue Methodist Church. Mrs. Brennan is survived by four sons, Russell A. Brennan Patrick M. Brennan and Jon A.

Brennan, all of Port Huron, and William A. Brennan, Little Rock, a daughter, Mrs. Erma Eldridge, Port Huron; a sister, Mrs. Erma A. Curtiss, Port Huron; nine grandchildren: a nephew, Theodore W.

Curtiss, Port Huron, and several grandnieces and nephews. The remains are in KarrerSimpson Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Douglas K.

McCallum, 78, of 2907 Nineteenth Avenue, died Sunday in a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born June 23, 1891, in Almont. She lived here the last 36 Her husband, Neil McCallum. died June 13, 1966. Mrs.

McCallum is survived ed by six daughters, Mrs. Lorene Krauss, Mrs. Madeline Chapdelaine, Mrs. Donald C. Robison and Mrs.

Glen R. Provost Glen R. "Whitey" Provost, 63, of 6722 Lake Shore Road, died Saturday in Port Huron Hospital after a long illness. He was born June 1, 1906, in Downington, Mich. He married Dorothy M.

Moore Oct. 14, 1933. He was employed at Mueller Brass for 34 years, retiring April 1. He was a manager of screw, fabricated products, divi- was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a well-known bowler in Port Huron.

Monday, July 14, 1969 Attempted Molesting Reported Police today are investigating the report of an 18-year-old girl who told police two men attempted to molest her Sunday as she walked near her home in the 2500 block of Armour Street about 11:25 p.m. Officers said the girl told them she was walking in a vacant lot looking for her dog when the men got out of an old model blue station wagon with a white top, grabbed her and dragged her to some bushes.

Her brother saw the incident and called his mother. When the mother of the girl ran 1 toward the vacant lot and called to her daughter, the would-be attackers fled. The assailants were described as one wearing green trousers and shirt, and the second reportedly had a black shirt. Police ask that if anyone has any knowledge concerning the incident to telephone the department at YU 4-4141. CHIEF JAMES L.

CARROLL Four Persons Injured In Weekend Accidents Four persons were injured in four accidents Sunday including a rear end, three-car accident, and a motorcycle-car accident. Mrs. Betty Buelow, 42, of 1739 Vermont Avenue, Marysville, was injured after a car driven by her husband, James L. Buelow, 42, was struck in the rear by a car driven by Charles Jemison, 49, of 2520 Vanness Street, at Twenty-fourth and Griswold Streets, deputy sheriffs said. Mrs.

Buelow was taken to Port Huron Hospital for treatment of a neck injury. The Buelow car was forced ahead into the rear of a car driven by Junior M. Antonie, 29, Kokomo, Ind. Deputies arrested Jemison on a charge of drunk driving and ticketed him on charges of defective brakes and driving without a drivers license on his pere son. Kenneth A.

Atherton, 24, of 1900 Leland Road, and Jonathan C. Blackmer, 21, of 5056 Burma Road, were injured after the Atherton car was involved in an accident with a car driven by Joseph G. Curry, 20, of 2503 Manuel Street, at Oak and Twenty-fourth Streets. Deputites ticketed Curry on a charge of driving without a drivers license on his person for failure to yield the right of way. passenger in the Curry car, Eddie L.

Lashbrook, 21, of 2801 Griswold Street, suffered minor injuries after the rear of her car was struck by a car driven by George W. Hanna, 50, of 3168 Wright Street, in the 2900 block of Twenty-fourth Street, police said. She was to see her family doctor.

John W. Brennan, 43, of 3659 Dykeman Road, was injured after his motorcycle and a car driven by Mrs. May A. Willis, 24, of 3606 Sunset Lane, were involved in an accident at Garfield Street and the By Pass. Brennan was taken to Port Huron Hospital for treatment.

Police ticketed Willis on a charge of failure to yield the right of way.
