The camping period for girls started Aug. 17 when the girls arrived at camp between 6:30 and 8:30 that night. Monday found the girls started.

on a full daily program which ended Saturday afternoon. There have been several events to add to the daily doings of the campers. Tuesday was Backwards Day, when clothes were worn backwards and a the schedule was reversed. A hot dog feed ended the day's activities. A hike to the Birch Tree Orchards was the order of day for Wednesday.

A picnic lunch, sent to the Orchards by the camp cooks, was heartily eaten by the campers who still had the return hike back to A swim in the lake was enthusiastically enjoyed by the entire camp upon their return to AgA-Wam. Thursday was the observance of Birthday Day by the entire camp. A fried chicken dinner topped with ice cream and birthday cake was the menu for special divided day. into All the the months camp these which each camper was born. With a senior counselor in charge the campers decorated their tables most attractively, carrying out the theme of their respective months.

September and October won the award for the most attractive table with November and December as runners-up. Pill and Capsule Day will be the last special event for this year's camping period. Each girl and counselor will be a capsule to some girl in camp who in turn will be a pill. Find. ing things to do for her "pill" will be the responsibility of each camper and counsellor.

The "pill" will be disclosed at campfire Camp Friday nights. Glen Metzker, assistant in camp was Carl Benner, camp cooks were Mrs. Edward McKenzie and Mrs. Archie McKenzie. "Those we couldn't do without" were Charles, and Jane Metzker.

Camp director for the period was Miss Betty Benchoff, women's and girls' secretary of the Blue Water Area YMCA. Wedding Maison Evans Imlay City The First Congregational Church, Imlay City, was the scene of the Saturday afternoon wedding when Miss Evelyn Evans, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. David Evans, Reed City, was united in marriage with Jack Maison, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Melvin Maison, Imlay City. Rev. Evans performed the ceremony. They spoke their vows before an altar decorated with bouquets of white gladioli and candelabra. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a floor-length gown of white lace over tulle and satin.

Her fingertip veil was secured by a lace crown decorated with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and yellow rosebuds. Mair of honor was Miss Margaret Taylor, Imlay City. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Martin Raby, Haslette, and Mrs.

Gale Bradshaw, Muskegon, sisters of the bride. Sharon Maison, sister of the groom, was junior bridesmaid. All were gowned in yellow, embroidered taffeta with matching headpieces and carried bouquets of yellow carnations. Bill Maison was his brother's best man and ushers were Bruce Ennis, Rochester, Bob Maison, Imlay City and Dick Evans, Reed City. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors.
